we allow you complete flexibility of choice of departure dates, length
of stay, and from where you choose to fly; indeed we can make reservations
for hotel and opera only if your travel arrangements have already been
made, or you may wish to utilise your Air miles. We are also able to
incorporate BMI Baby, Easy Jet and Ryan Air flights if preferred, please
contact us for a quotation. For those who wish to explore alternative
means of travel, European rail has been incorporated as an option to
visit many of the major cities.
JMB Travel specialise solely in opera, and, as such, have unrivalled experience in catering to the particular needs of the opera lover. We couple that professionalism and care of the individual’s requirements with a huge choice that covers over 40 different cities noted for their opera, where well over 100 different productions will be performed during the season.
You
will find just about every major opera house and music festival in Europe
and a small selection for America covered in the pages that follow. We
expect to receive a high demand for tickets to attend the special events
with 'Placido Domingo' performing in Madrid, Milan, New York, Vienna
and Verona and therefore recommend making an early reservation. Due to
the continued success of our escorted tours,
where experienced group managers together with a local guide relieve
you of many worries while you just relax and enjoy yourself, 2009 will
see JMB groups enjoying music in Budapest, Dresden,
Bregenz, Prague, Verona and Vienna.
The prices quoted on the following pages have yet again benefited from the strong pound. For those who are able to make an early reservation, we offer a special air travel reduction to most venues subject to carrier availability and include, in virtually every case, the best grade of opera ticket, accommodation which has been personally selected to allow a varied choice, exceptional quality, unique charm, and most importantly prime location. A choice of scheduled air travel or European rail is available. Free airport transfers are available for the majority of our venues with our air inclusive holidays. As mentioned earlier, other departure airports, together with car hire, and private sightseeing tours can be arranged.
The
air holidays in this brochure are ATOL Protected by the Civil Aviation
Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 3539. In the unlikely event of our
insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and
will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking.

Make a difference to climate change
Climate change is set to be the major issue of our generation. With the impact of climate change becoming increasingly obvious, governments have realised the need for urgent action. However, treaties and legislation alone will not save the planet, we all have a vital role to play in reducing the amount of greenhouse gases released into our atmosphere.
One way we can all help is by using energy more wisely and as a result reducing the amount of greenhouse gases - particularly carbon dioxide - emitted into the atmosphere. Another is to contribute towards schemes that offset the impact of your personal travel. JMB Travel supports Pure (www.puretrust.co.uk) as a charity accredited to government "Gold" standard for its work in carbon offsetting, however please feel free to choose any recognised scheme.
