COPENHAGEN
Denmark is the oldest kingdom in the world and Copenhagen, its capital for 825 years, stands on the water gateway from Europe to Scandinavia. The Little Mermaid has been sitting on her rock since 1913, gazing out to sea and the ships that come in to anchor in Copenhagen from all over the world. Visit the Tivoli Gardens which inspired Hans Christian Andersen or view the Crown Jewels in the Rosenborg Palace. Take a bus or train to Kronburg Castle in Elsinore, home of Shakespeare's Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
