This city is famous for its music and where better to enjoy it than in the very grand State Opera House and in the Theater an der Wien where many of Mozart’s operas were first performed. Explore Vienna, perhaps by calèche, from the Gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral in the heart of the old city, perhaps to attend Mass in the Augustinerkirche, to the Imperial Hofburg with its State Apartments, Spanish Riding School (with daily practice sessions of the famous Lippizaner stallions) and the Treasury with its priceless collection of Byzantine artefacts. The enormous wealth of the collections in the Kunsthistorisches Museum includes antiquities, paintings and fine arts.
